Vick. Hamner failed to appear in Voorhees Municipal Court on the charges and a judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest, said Terry Clark, deputy chief of the SPCA's law enforcement division. The judge also ordered that Hamner's dog be impounded until another court hearing can be scheduled. This is the SECOND time Hamner has been charged with cruelty to his dog. On Nov. 12 he was investigated for a similar allegation, and failed to appear in court Dec. 5. He later pleaded guilty and paid a $300 fine. Eagles spokesman Derek Boyko said the team was aware of the allegations.

Gandhi (1869-1948) He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals." -- Immanuel Kant
"Let's not blame the dogs for a trait bred into them by
the evilness of man. Let's understand them instead, so we can provide
responsible ownership and give them a chance to show the world why they are so
deserving of our love".
